Andy Findlay, Founder & Director of Training

Born and raised on his family farm in Aberdeenshire, Andy Findlay developed a lifelong passion for the agricultural sector. He began his career with an farming apprenticeship on Dunnecht Estates in Aberdeenshire, gaining valuable hands on skills and experience before spending several years as a self-employed farm contractor.

In his late twenties, Andy moved into training, becoming a certified Lantra Instructor and later teaching Agricultural Mechanisation at SRUC Craibstone for seven years. He now specialises in delivering practical, hands-on Lantra accredited training in tractors, forklifts, ATVs, and 4x4s, and has built a strong reputation for running engaging, fun and impactful tractor driving courses for 13–15-year-olds. Combining his practical expertise with a solid background in education, Andy established Findlay Training, now recognised as a trusted provider of Lantra-accredited courses.

Sue Crerar, Training Manager

Based in North Kessock, Inverness-shire, Sue brings a proven track record in sourcing, managing, and coordinating Lantra and City & Guilds training courses.

At Findlay Training, she plays a key role in streamlining operations and administration, supporting instructors on a day-to-day basis, and ensuring a seamless learning experience for candidates. With a background in training management within the rural sector, Sue continues to build strong client relationships across the Highlands while helping to expand the business’s reach throughout Moray, Aberdeenshire, and beyond.

Bridgit Findlay, Marketing Director

Andy’s wife Bridgit brings a wealth of experience in marketing, communications, and customer care, gained through senior roles across a variety of industries in the UK and overseas.

Much of her career has been rooted in the education sector, with roles in both private and international schools, and most recently as Alumni Relations Manager and a marketing lecturer at SRUC. Her fresh perspective, creative ideas, and people-first approach have made a real difference at Findlay Training, playing a key part in the business’s continued growth.
